The Heritage Walk KL is a 2-hours free walking tour that will take foreign tourists through the history of the Malay, Chinese and Indian in Kuala Lumpur.
Starting from the Central Market, participants will walk through historical landmarks like the open air Masjid Jamek to Lebuh Ampang, originally famous for money-lending establishments set up by the Chettiar community from South India.
The walk will also cover the Old Market Square where Yap Ah Loy (the man who founded Kuala Lumpur) used to run his opium and gambling dens.
Unfortunately the walk is not open for local tourists or expats.
The walk is only open to international foreign tourists and their children who are above 8 years old on short term social visit to Malaysia within 30 days.
Maximum 10 participants per tour daily (based on first come first serve basis).
