Tour Info

Day 1

If you have gain extra weight due to the tantalizing street food of Penang, this 3D2N tour to the Cameron Highlands from Penang is great for an extra exercise in nature.

Located 3 hours away from Penang, Cameron Highland’s hilly tea plantations and colonial hotels will be your great retreat from the congested island of Penang.

Your journey to Cameron Highland will start early in the morning. On your 3 hours (330 km) journey you will stop at the Kuala Sepetang area.

This small area is famous for its charcoal, which comes from the mangroves that prosper around its muddy sanctuary.

Here, you’ll have the chance to get into the mangrove forest (on a wooden man made platform) and visit a charcoal factory that has been here for generations.

Your next journey will be Kuala Kangsar, a royal town where you will visit the golden domed Ubudiah Mosque, the Iskandariah Palace as well as the Istana Kenangan.

Upon reaching Ipoh, you’ll have a quick stop at the Sam Poh Tong temple cave before your bus takes you up to mountain for an hour journey to Cameron.

You are expected to be in your hotel around 5 pm.

Day 2

Your journey in the Cameron Highland starts early, when the mountain is blanketed in mist and the air sun is about to set.

Your destination? Top of mount Brinchang to see the famous Mossy Forest — a moss filled forest area once reserved only to hikers.

Next, you will be taken to a strawberry farm where you can see and learn how strawberries are grown in the hot tropical weather.

Then you will set on a journey to the BOH tea plantation. Enjoy the green vista and don’t forget to get a cup of tea at the cafe after you visited the tea factory or stroll through the plantation.

After tea, you’ll be visiting the butterfly farm to see South East Asian butterflies such as the native Rajah Brooke and head on to the market area to get yourself some pearl corns.

Your last trip of the day will involve a 1.5 hours on unmarked trails to see the life of a native. This walk will expose you to some tropical wild orchids, plants and fungi before you rest at a native hut for lunch.

After lunch, it’s time to enjoy the comfort of your hotel room.
