The building is actually new historical gallery housed in a 113 year old building, right in the historical enclave of Dataran Merdeka (Merdeka Square).
What makes it interesting is it contains 3D replicas of Kuala Lumpur made to scale, complete with the stories behind the buildings.
You will also see photos of the old Kuala Lumpur as well as the plans Malaysia has for this capital city.
Souvenirs and Tourist Information
You can also buy some souvenirs, like gifts made of wooden veneer or ask for information at the Tourist Information Centre ( 1st floor ).
RapidKL Star LRT: Get off at the Masjid Jamek Station. The KL City Gallery is 12 minutes walk from the station.
Taxi: Tell the driver you want to go to Dataran Merdeka. The KL City Gallery is just beside the green field.
KL Hop-On Hop-Off City Bus: Alternatively, you can catch one of these buses. The bus will stop in front of the gallery.
