National Visual Art Gallery

Showcasing the best of Malaysia’s contemporary art, The National Art Gallery was set up in 1958 — just a year after Malaysia gain its independence from the British.

With 7 exhibition halls, the gallery is estimated to house more than 2,500 works by artists from various ethnic groups.

  • The gallery offers a 3-day art workshop for school pupils during the school holidays. It is usually held in early December.Call 03-4026 7000 and ask for Cik Hui Koon/ Pn Noreen / En. Shamsul for more information

Getting There

1. Take the RapidKL LRT and stop at Titiwangsa Station. Then take a taxi from here. You can also reach here by taking a 20 to 25 minutes walk from the station.

2. Or take the RapidKl LRT and stop at KLCC Station. Take a taxi from here. You will probably see the blue colour Istana Budaya building before reaching this place.

3. If you are driving, park your car at the Istana Budaya parking lot and walk here.
